Softball Recap: Watertown Comes Up Short

If Watertown was feeling good fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Pierre T.F. Riggs on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Arrows took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yankton Bucks/Gazelles on Saturday. The Arrows haven't had much luck with the Bucks/Gazelles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Watertown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Yankton, they pushed their record up to 6-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watertown will take on Spearfish at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Yankton, they will head out to challenge Vermillion at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tanagers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.82 runs per game on average), something the Bucks/Gazelles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
