Volleyball Recap: Mitchell Wins Going Away Against Gulf

Mitchell had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Gulf on Thursday. The Mustangs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Buccaneers. The Mustangs not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 3, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-3, 25-16.

Lily Unger was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had ten digs and six aces. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Mitchell's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Gulf, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mitchell didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Wiregrass Ranch on the 27th. As for Gulf, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Tarpon Springs on the 26th.
