Basketball Recap: Sonoma Valley Takes Down Woodland Christian in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sonoma Valley walked away with it. They walked away with a 73-61 victory over the Woodland Christian Cardinals on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

When it comes to explaining why Woodland Christian lost, don't look at Romello Bruhn. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 34 points and 11 rebounds. The game was Bruhn's 60th in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tanner Thomas, who went 7-for-13 on his way to 17 points.

Sonoma Valley's record now sits at 18-15. As for Woodland Christian, their defeat ended a 16-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-6.

Sonoma Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-48 loss against International on the 6th. Woodland Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
