Basketball Recap: Clark Comes Up Short

Clark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 25th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Rancho Rams, falling 50-23. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-24 back in November.

Rancho had a senior duo take command as Claudia Vargas-Arellano went 12 of 22 on her way to 26 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals and Taylor Dagons dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Dagons has scored at least a third of Rancho's points. Another player making a difference was Crystal Moscosa, who posted two points and seven rebounds.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Rancho, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Clark will welcome Palo Verde at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Rancho, they will venture away from home to face off against Sierra Vista at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
