Baseball Recap: Bath County Takes a Loss

Bath County lost against East Carter back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats lost 8-1 to the Raiders. The Wildcats' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Bath County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Dillon, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Bath County's record now sits at 16-16-1. As for East Carter, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 18-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bath County will venture away from home to square off against Powell County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Carter, they will head out to face off against Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
