Volleyball Recap: Oak Creek Wins High-Profile Match Against Cedarburg

Oak Creek faced Cedarburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 2-1. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2016.

Isa Ruether paced Oak Creek's offense, picking up 13 kills. Ruether got some help from Julia Schneider and her 28 assists. Claire Mank controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The victory snapped Oak Creek's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 19-13 record. As for Cedarburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-9.

Oak Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Wisconsin Lutheran on the 27th. As for Cedarburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Kimberly on the 27th.
