After a string of three wins, Raceland's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Russell Red Devils. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (63), the Rams still had to take the loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Russell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryder Burgess, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaiden Benge, who went 5 for 10 en route to 18 points.

Raceland's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Russell, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Raceland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, an 82-66 defeat against Fleming County on the 1st. Russell has also already played their next game, a 66-47 loss against Paintsville on the 1st.
