Baseball Recap: Texas Wind Takes a Loss

Texas Wind was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Aggieland HomeSchool Panthers. Texas Wind was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Aggieland HomeSchool earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Keith Hernandez put in work while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Hernandez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Daniel Montgomery made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jon Alexander, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Texas Wind's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13-1. As for Aggieland HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Texas Wind will welcome Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aggieland HomeSchool, they will host Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on the 17th.
