Softball Recap: Sarasota Gets the Win

Sarasota extended their postseason success on Tuesday against East Ridge. They won by a run and slipped past the Knights 8-7. That's two games straight that the Sailors have won by just one run.

Ashlan Guengerich was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Mady Pint, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Sarasota is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for East Ridge, they moved to 22-6 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Sarasota has already played their next match, an 8-3 win against Sumner on the 15th. East Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
