Softball Recap: North Forsyth Comes Up Short

North Forsyth extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-6. They came up short against the North Davidson Knights, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 on Thursday.

As for North Davidson, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games.

For North Davidson's part, Delaney Stilwell looked comfortable as she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Stilwell has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rileigh Barker, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Hutchins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and two runs.

North Forsyth has already played their next matchup, a 15-8 defeat against R.J. Reynolds on the 30th. As for North Davidson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Oak Grove on the 31st.
