Soccer Recap: Mountain Ridge Beats Williams Field for Their Fifth Straight Win

Mountain Ridge put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Williams Field Black Hawks as the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions made off with a 7-0 victory. Fans of the Mountain Lions have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Their offense was hitting Williams Field from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Aryanna Peregrino led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Mountain Ridge's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Williams Field, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Ridge will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Valley Vista at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Williams Field will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Arizona College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Arizona College Prep will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Williams Field surely won't give up without a fight.
