Softball Game Preview: Eastern Comets vs. Lewis Cass Kings

The Eastern Comets will face off against the Lewis Cass Kings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Eastern has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Eastern is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Wednesday. They lost 23-0 to Rossville. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Comets have suffered against the Hornets since April 26, 2018.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Lewis Cass' offense. They fell 5-0 to Whitko on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Kings in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Lewis Cass saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Hubner, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Hannah Zamora also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
