Baseball Recap: Canyon View Has No Trouble Against Ogden

It's playoff time, and Canyon View had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Ogden Tigers 16-2 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Chandler McClellan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). McClellan was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Price Atwood, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and two triples. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Canyon View and bumps their season record up to 22-5. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Ogden, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-22.

Canyon View will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
