Dynamic duo of Jamyah Minnis and Amare Boothe lead Hamilton to victory

Recap: Hamilton Wildcats vs. King Prep Rams

The Hamilton Wildcats can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 74-51 margin over King Prep. Hamilton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Hamilton to victory were Jamyah Minnis and Amare Boothe. Minnis almost dropped a triple-double on 17 points, nine rebounds, and 17 steals, while Boothe scored 45 points along with seven steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Boothe has scored at least 25% of Hamilton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reyanna Jones, who scored two points along with six rebounds.

Hamilton's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7. As for King Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Hamilton and Arlington will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on December 28th at. Arlington is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. King Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Middle College at 6:00 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
