Riverdale hadn't done well against Fort Myers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Riverdale Raiders skirted past the Fort Myers Green Wave 5-4. This was payback for the Raiders, who suffered a 17-8 defeat the last time these two teams met.

On the hitting side, Riverdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carlos Ayala, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Ayala's brought in this season.

Riverdale now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fort Myers, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Riverdale and Fort Myers' offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Riverdale will take on Estero at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, a squad that's only allowed 3.8 runs per game. Meanwhile, Fort Myers and Bonita Springs (who has only given up 3.2 runs per game) will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
