Football Recap: East Providence Falls Despite Big Games from Jacob Duarte and Isaac Rodriguez + How To Watch

After flying high against Tolman last Friday, East Providence came back down to earth. The Townies fell 21-12 to the South Kingstown Rebels on Saturday. The game marked the Townies' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

East Providence's loss came despite strong showings from Isaac Rodriguez and Jacob Duarte. Rodriguez gained 169 total yards and a touchdown, while Duarte rushed for 70 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

The loss snapped East Providence's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-3 record. As for South Kingstown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. East Providence will challenge rival Moses Brown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Duarte and Gavin Marsh. Meanwhile, South Kingstown is set to face off against their familiar foe Tolman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
