Basketball Game Preview: Rock Hill Blue Hawks vs. McKinney Boyd Broncos

The Rock Hill Blue Hawks will head out to face off against the McKinney Boyd Broncos at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Rock Hill lost 67-44 to Prosper on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Blue Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 173rd, while the Eagles are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, McKinney Boyd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 55-42 to Plano East, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

McKinney Boyd's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Rock Hill, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-12.

Rock Hill was able to grind out a solid victory over McKinney Boyd in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 49-39. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rock Hill since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
