Basketball Game Preview: Delone Catholic Squires vs. Hanover Nighthawks

The Delone Catholic Squires will head out on the road to challenge the Hanover Nighthawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Delone Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

Delone Catholic is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Red Land just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Meanwhile, Hanover was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 57-31 to New Oxford. The game marked the Nighthawks' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Delone Catholic, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.

Delone Catholic took their victory against Hanover in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 68-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Delone Catholic since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
