Baseball Recap: Northwestern Victorious

Northwestern's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Tecumseh Arrows 5-4. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 victory the Arrows walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Logan Errett made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Errett was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Grimm, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs. He has become a key player for Northwestern: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cohlton Hughes, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Northwestern's record now sits at 5-11. As for Tecumseh, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will welcome Emmanuel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tecumseh, they will challenge Franklin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
