Centaurus gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They really took it to the Denver North Vikings for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-3 victory. The Warriors pushed the score to 28-3 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vikings had little chance of recovering from.

Halas Wise threw for 159 yards and one TD. Brandon Polder was his top target, picking up 88 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Gabriel Machado rushed for 45 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Centaurus will square off against Boulder at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Denver North, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Adams City at 6:00 p.m. on September 4.
