Basketball Recap: Tanner Ehmen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Prattville over Chilton County

It was a proper cat-fight when Prattville faced off against Chilton County on Thursday. The Prattville Lions took a 71-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chilton County Tigers. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 65-59.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tanner Ehmen, who posted six points along with 13 boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Lewis, who had 18 points and three steals.

Chilton County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Simon out in front who went 10 of 14 on his way to 20 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Cayden Meank, who put up 19 points.

Prattville dropped their record down to 4-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Chilton County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Prattville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-82 loss against Wetumpka on the 9th. As for Chilton County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 75-59 defeat against Stanhope Elmore on the 6th.
