Recap: Williamstown Blue Devils vs. Danville Bears
On Friday, the Williamstown Blue Devils faced the Danville Bears in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Williamstown fell 67-54 to Danville. Even though they lost, Williamstown's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.3 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
When it comes to explaining why Williamstown lost, one person who can't be blamed is Evan Bailey. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bailey has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Colby Laggner, who scored five points along with 12 rebounds.
Williamstown bumped their record down to 5-4 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Danville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Williamstown will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Twinfield at 7:00 p.m. As for Danville, they will head out on the road to face off against Bellows Free Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
