After a string of ten wins, Summit's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Dayton Bulldogs by a score of 5-4. The Hilltoppers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Ilana Friedman was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Kate Shin was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 13-3. As for Dayton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
