Soccer Recap: Moriarty Comes Up Short

Moriarty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Mountain Timberwolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Moriarty of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Moriarty now has a losing record of 2-3. As for East Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Moriarty will take on Monte Del Sol Charter at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Moriarty will be up against Monte Del Sol Charter's rather soft defense (which has allowed 8.57 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for East Mountain, they will challenge Bernalillo at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
