Recap: Breckenridge Bulldogs vs. Braymer Bobcats
The Breckenridge Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Braymer 87-8. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Breckenridge has scored all season.
Leading Braymer to victory were Wade Kincaid and Jordan Haley. Kincaid scored 12 points along with eight rebounds, while Haley scored 12 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Kincaid pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin McBee, who scored eight points along with five assists and three steals.
Breckenridge's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6. As for Braymer, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Breckenridge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cainsville at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Cainsville is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Braymer, they will head out on the road to face off against Hardin-Central at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hardin-Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
