Basketball Recap: Phillips Comes Up Short

After flying high against Athens last Thursday, Phillips came back down to earth. The Phillips Loggers fell to the Somerset Spartans 61-56. The Loggers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Phillips' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Somerset, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Phillips has already played their next contest (against Gilman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Somerset wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-39 defeat against St. Croix Central on the 4th.
