Baseball Recap: Interlachen Comes Up Short

Interlachen fell victim to Matanzas and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Matanzas Pirates. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Interlachen saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miles Hoffman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Interlachen's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Matanzas, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.

Interlachen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-4 defeat against Lake Weir on the 6th. As for Matanzas, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-7 loss against University on the 6th.
