It was a good run, but Savannah Christian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Brunswick Pirates by a score of 2-1. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Pirates 25-20 in the first set.

Savannah Christian started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 15-13.

Their offense was headlined by Ella Brooking and Kamila Salinas, who picked up seven kills apiece. They were helped by Carinne Cason and Ella Burgstiner, who contributed 12 assists each. Burgstiner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Savannah Christian's loss dropped their record down to 22-6. As for Brunswick, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-11 record this season.

Savannah Christian has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against South Effingham on the 25th. As for Brunswick, they will face off against Islands at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
