The Hickory Hornets will challenge the Austintown-Fitch Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Hickory's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games.

Hickory saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against Mercyhurst Prep by a score of 60-50. Given the Hornets' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Lakers are ranked 262nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-39, which was the final score in Austintown-Fitch's tilt against Harding on Friday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Hickory pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Austintown-Fitch, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Things could have been worse for Hickory, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-51 loss to Austintown-Fitch when the teams last played back in December of 2023.
