Soccer Game Preview: Rowe vs. Pieper

Rowe will square off against Pieper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Rowe is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Nixon 7-3. The victory was familiar territory for Rowe, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Meanwhile, Pieper kept a clean sheet against MacArthur on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Brahmas with a sharp 8-0 win. Given Pieper's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 58th, while MacArthur are ranked 320th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pieper's offense was hitting MacArthur from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Skylar Carter led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Rowe's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Pieper, their win bumped their record up to 16-4-4.
