Softball Recap: Priest River Falls to Orofino in First Game of Season

Priest River had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 24-7 to the Orofino Maniacs on Saturday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 15 in a row.

Priest River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abigail Sparrow-Lovette, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Sparrow-Lovette a new career-high. Another was Desarai Humphrey, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

The win (which was Orofino's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

While Priest River had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
