Basketball Game Preview: Martin Clippers vs. Saugatuck Trailblazers

Martin and Saugatuck are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Martin Clippers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Saugatuck Trailblazers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Martin is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Martin was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Sacred Heart Academy.

Meanwhile, Saugatuck came up short against Calvary on Tuesday and fell 49-42. The Trailblazers have struggled against the Crusaders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Martin now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Saugatuck, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Martin was dealt a bruising 62-35 loss at the hands of Saugatuck in their previous matchup back in February. Can Martin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
