Preview: Northwood Panthers vs. Marion Scarlet Hurricanes
Northwood is 0-10 against Marion since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Northwood Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. Northwood comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Friday, Northwood was beaten by Tri-Cities Christian 60-20. Northwood was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-8.
Meanwhile, Marion scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They blew past Chilhowie, posting a 64-20 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Marion has managed all season.
Northwood bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Marion, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Northwood was taken down by Marion 46-4 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Northwood was down 30-2.
