Softball Game Preview: Buchanan Bears vs. Clovis East Timberwolves

The Buchanan Bears will venture away from home to take on the Clovis East Timberwolves at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Buchanan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Clovis East's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Buchanan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They came out on top against St. Joseph by a score of 9-5. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bears as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Clovis East posted their closest win since April 14th on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past Bullard 2-1.

Chloe Solis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Madison Masa was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Buchanan's record is now 19-10. As for Clovis East, their record now sits at 21-3.

Buchanan couldn't quite get it done against Clovis East in their previous matchup last Tuesday as they fell 5-0. Can the Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
