Softball Recap: Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Beats Christchurch School for Their Fourth Straight Win

While Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Christchurch School. Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association put the hurt on Christchurch School with a sharp 14-0 victory. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by seven runs or more this season.

Madison Machotka was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Lucia Fischi was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

The win keeps Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average this season. As for Christchurch School, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association will be taking part in a tournament against Bishop O'Connell at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bishop O'Connell will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association surely won't give up without a fight. As for Christchurch School, they will take on Kenston Forest in a tournament on Saturday.
