Volleyball Recap: Hilbert Takes a Loss

Hilbert was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Algoma. If Hilbert was looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to Algoma when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hilbert was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Algoma work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24.

Brooke Bradley paced Hilbert's offense, picking up three kills. Bradley got some help from Alissa Fochs and her three assists. Mia Dennis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Hilbert's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Algoma, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Hilbert has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Mishicot on the 20th. As for Algoma, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Gibraltar on the 20th.
