Weeki Wachee is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Fivay get on the board and left with a 24-0 win on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Hornets with their most commanding win of the season.
Jase Kelly made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Kelly was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Weeki Wachee let Saul Melendez and Jayden Allen run wild. Melendez went 3-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs, while Allen went 2-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and four RBI. Those three runs gave Melendez a new career-high. Christian Zahora was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Weeki Wachee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.
Meanwhile, Springstead came into Thursday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Wiregrass Ranch by a score of 7-2 on Thursday.
The team relied heavily on Tanner Henrickson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Nathaniel Sabino, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Weeki Wachee pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Springstead, their victory bumped their record up to 11-6.
