Recap: Seeger Patriots vs. Fountain Central Mustangs
After a string of five wins, the Seeger Patriots's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Fountain Central 47-41. Seeger has struggled against Fountain Central recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Seeger still got an impressive performance from Christian Holland, who scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Pluimer, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
It was another big night for Will Harmon, who scored 30 points along with eight rebounds for Fountain Central. The game was Harmon's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Eli Foxworthy, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
Seeger's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for Fountain Central, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Seeger will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against West Lafayette at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (West Lafayette is ranked 195th, while Seeger is ranked 186th). Fountain Central and Northside L will round out the year against one another at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday at. Northside L has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 908 points over their last 13 games.
