Archbishop Murphy is 6-1 against Shorecrest since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Scots at 4:00 p.m. Neither Archbishop Murphy nor Shorecrest posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Archbishop Murphy is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Monday. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shorewood.

Archbishop Murphy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carly Madhavan, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Shorecrest's offense. They came up short against Shorewood on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Scots were not able to get on the board.

Shorecrest's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Archbishop Murphy, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Shorecrest's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Archbishop Murphy has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Shorecrest, though, as they've been averaging 9.2 hits. Given Archbishop Murphy's sizable advantage in that area, the Scots will need to find a way to close that gap.
