Basketball Recap: Our Redeemer's Christian Takes Down Ranked Westhope/Newburg

On Friday, Our Redeemer's Christian faced Westhope/Newburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Our Redeemer's Christian Knights enjoyed a cozy 58-44 win over the Westhope/Newburg Sioux. For the Knights, this counts as revenge for the 76-49 victory the Sioux walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Several Sioux players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Walker Braaten, who went 10 for 22 on his way to 25 points and seven rebounds. Braaten is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Hunter Tolstad was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
