Basketball Recap: Peachtree Ridge Comes Up Short

Peachtree Ridge lost against Duluth back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Peachtree Ridge Lions took a hard 42-26 fall against the Duluth Wildcats. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Duluth's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Saniya Johnson led the charge by putting up 13 points and seven steals. Those seven steals gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaylie Zirger, who posted 14 points and four steals.

Peachtree Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Duluth, their record is now 5-11.

Peachtree Ridge has already played their next matchup (against North Gwinnett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Duluth will take on Berkmar at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th.
