Basketball Recap: Ponte Vedra's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Ponte Vedra won the last time they faced Menendez and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Ponte Vedra Sharks walked away with a 33-25 win over the Menendez Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Sharks.

Menendez's loss came despite strong showings from Sophia Scibelli and Nykia Deans. Scibelli posted 15 points and seven rebounds, while Deans scored four points and six boards. Scibelli's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Ponte Vedra's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-11. As for Menendez, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 14-8 record.

Ponte Vedra will face off against ED White at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. ED White will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Ponte Vedra surely won't give up without a fight. As for Menendez, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Menendez Falcons challenge the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles on Monday.
