Volleyball Recap: Nixa Starts off Right with Win over Fayetteville

Nixa gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Fayetteville Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Nixa walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 25-15.

Mara Coulter was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 22 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season.

Fayetteville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Nixa will be playing at home against Webb City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fayetteville, they will head out to take on Bentonville West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
