Basketball Recap: Fullerton Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jadon Reed and Andrew Wise

Fullerton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-44 heartbreaker at the hands of the Trabuco Hills Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 57-45 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2016.

Fullerton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Andrew Wise, who went 7-for-9 en route to 18 points and six boards, and Jadon Reed, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Isaiah Quintana also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first board of the season.

Carter Peckson was the offensive standout of the contest as he posted 11 points. Jonah Silver was another key player, putting up six points and five assists.

Fullerton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Trabuco Hills, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Coming up, Fullerton will host Orange at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trabuco Hills, they will face off against Tustin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
