Softball Recap: Bonita Springs Comes Up Short

Bonita Springs lost against Naples back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bullsharks came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 18-3. The Bullsharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bonita Springs saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ariana Bandera, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Bonita Springs' loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Naples, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-15.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Bonita Springs will venture away from home to square off against Barron Collier at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bullsharks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Naples, they will face off against Lely at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.83 runs per game on average), something the Golden Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
