North Crowley is a perfect 10-0 against Sam Houston since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Panthers will head out to square off against the Texans at 12:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 11 consecutive losses for North Crowley and six for Sam Houston.

Friday just wasn't the day for North Crowley's offense. They fell 4-0 to Boswell on Friday.

North Crowley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jason Perez, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Sam Houston didn't have quite enough to beat Grand Prairie on Friday and fell 3-1.

Oscar Armendariz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Sam Houston's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for North Crowley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18-1.

North Crowley was able to grind out a solid win over Sam Houston when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 14-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
