Basketball Recap: Baker County Piles Up the Points Against Union County

Baker County won the last time they faced Union County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Baker County Wildcats blew past the Union County Fightin' Tigers 61-18. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 30 points or more this season.

Leading Baker County to victory were Natalia Strachan and Yamise Haygood. Strachan dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 steals, while Haygood went 9 for 18 en route to 19 points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. Haygood is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 25 games she's played dating back to last season. Kaitlyn Holland was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Baker County and bumps their season record up to 14-3. As for Union County, they dropped their record down to 7-15 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Baker County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-26 win against Suwannee on the 30th. As for Union County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-40 victory against Saint Francis Catholic on the 30th.
