Basketball Game Recap: Ridgefield Memorial vs. Secaucus

The Ridgefield Memorial Royals were expected to have a tough go of it this past Friday, and that's exactly how things played out. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 71-50 punch to the gut against the Secaucus Patriots. If Ridgefield was hoping to take revenge for the 57-30 defeat against Secaucus when the teams met last month, then they were left disappointed.

The loss dropped the Royals' record to 3-13. The win -- their fifth in a row -- raised Secaucus' record to 15-4.

The Royals will take on Butler on Thursday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup. Secaucus will be playing in front of their home fans against Bergen Charter on Thursday. The game looks good for Secaucus since they are the big favorites in the MaxPreps rankings.
