Section 6 Buffalo C league recap: 5/21/12

Middle Early College made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from third to first place in the league thanks to a 2-1 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Olmsted fell hardest in the standings, dropping from first all the way to third place after going 1-1 in the past week.

The Owls' Greg Danzo was the best pitcher in the league this week. Over the past week, he had zero wins and seven Ks.

Olmsted boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. On the season, the Owls have allowed just 78 hits, while striking out 138 batters. Danzo leads the Owls with 69 strikeouts in 33 innings pitched.

Olmsted, the league leader in stolen bases this season with 56, added to its lead in that category with 19 more steals over the past week. Given the green light by manager Michael Webster, Robert Rakowski has racked up 19 steals on his own this season for the Owls.
