Softball Recap: Gahr Takes a Loss

After flying high against Warren on Tuesday, Gahr came back down to earth. The Gladiators came up short against the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders on Thursday, falling 11-1. If the Gladiators were looking for revenge after losing 15-1 to the Crusaders when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hazel Anglo was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.

Gahr has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season. As for Mater Dei Catholic, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Gahr will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mayfair at 3:15 p.m. on the 14th. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they will head out to challenge Olympian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
